3 Ways to Stay Healthy & Happy During the Holidays

It's that time of year, people are either filled with cheer or a pain in rear. Navigating work, family life and all things holidays can leave us feeling unbalanced and overwhelmed. We are excited to share three simple ways to maintain health and happiness through 2018 and into 2019.


1. Practice Patience - There may be crazy shoppers, challenging family interactions, and a to do list longer than the Nile, but remaining gentle and present in your spirit helps you to stay centered. Let that person go first, hug that family member tighter, get yourself a special treat as you dash from errand to errand.


2. Get Outside - Find moments to put down the gift wrap and take a walk or sit in the sun. The vitamin D, fresh air and warmth of the sun are immediate mood boosters! Whether it is five minutes or half an hour - let the light of the world warm you!


3. Give Back - Shower someone in need with kindness this season! Donate clothes to a local homeless shelter, prepare a meal at a soup kitchen, read to children in the hospital, aid a struggling family with holiday gifts. Nothing lifts our spirits and reminds us of the richness of our lives better and faster than charity!


Regardless of how you spend the holidays, whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, or Kwanzaa, may you find time this season to connect with those you love most. May we enjoy family, friends and the blessings of nature. May our choices this season reflect our goals and aspirations for years to come. May your spirit be warm and light.
